A Little Book
For My Hafsa
These past few days you've been a little quiet, a little far away β and I felt it, even from here.
So I made you this. A small place you can open on the heavy days, just to remember how deeply you are loved.
1
Just us, and the fogged-up windows
Our little dinners in the car β the food going cold in our laps because we were too busy talking, laughing, stealing bites off each other's plate.
The whole world outside the windows, and inside it was only us. I miss that quiet more than I know how to say, my love.
2
Laughing into the wind, together
And our horse riding day β you, nervous and brave all at once, holding on tight and then laughing into the wind the moment you felt safe.
I kept forgetting to look at the path ahead, because I couldn't stop looking at you. That's the version of you I carry with me.

My Hafsa
Every version of you
You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. The way your eyes light up when you laugh, the softness in your voice β it undoes me every single time.
And not just on the good days. On the tired, quiet, off days too, when you feel like less β you are still, always, the most beautiful girl in the world to me.
4I know lately you've felt low and a little lost, like the weight is too much to carry.
You don't have to carry it alone, and you never have to pretend with me. Not for a single second.
5Whatever this heaviness is, it will pass. I promise. The light in you is only resting, not gone.
And through all of it, I'll be right here β steady, patient, and endlessly yours.
6So take a breath, my love. You are safe, and you are held.
"Keep smiling when you can...
and when you can't, I'll hold
it for both of us."
For my Hafsa, with all my love
